All that has gone before

Footprints across this land

The bounty of woods and pond

River and field

Surely enticing ancient peoples

To follow the seasons

In hunt of fruits of the forest

Animals and fish

The deep quiet of the woods

And the whispers of the grasses

Hold stories

Of many lives entwined

In the dance

Of give and take

The eternity of

Birth, death

Cycle of life.
